Trump, Clinton, or Vote Your Conscience

Well, it's been a while.... About 6 years ago, I started this blog, made 2 posts, and, for a host of reasons, quit. Before getting into the predicament we find ourselves in this election year, I would like to refer to one of the 2 posts from 6 years ago titled "Morals". Morality is the key to America's success, it is the prerequisite to liberty, freedom, and self governance, it is the cornerstone to the ideology of our founding. If you are interested as to why I think this, please check it out in my previous post.

I believe a lack of morality is the primary reason we have the candidates we have today as well as the reason America is in such a decline. Trump is the result of angry Republicans, tired of voting into office either failures or liars. Republican voters have put more Republicans in office than at any time in the last century, yet on very few occasions, have they actually stood in the way of the Obama administration, and republican voters are sick of it! They want someone who has real business experience, who is not afraid to say things as they are (or at least how he honestly thinks they are), who genuinely loves America, and is willing to fight for her and her people. These values, in the eyes of Trump supporters, outweigh things he has said and done that typically would conflict with the Republican Party supporters and more specifically, conservatives. For example:
  • Supporting Democrats in the past.
  • Raising the minimum wage.
  • Forcing companies to remain in America. (I don't believe he will do this - I think he means to try and incentivize them to stay through tax cuts so it is mutually beneficial, but I could be wrong)
  • Supporting abortion in the past.
  • Admittedly working the political system.
I can already hear my hardcore Glenn Beck #nevertrump friends out there freaking out that this isn't all. Yes, I know, I know. Trump disrespects women, wouldn't know the meaning of conservative if it bludgeoned him in the head, and doesn't understand the principles of our founding. He's a power hungry psycho maniac that will send our entire nuclear arsenal out to destroy our enemies his first day in office, single handedly starting world war 3, and at the same time, books 4, 5, and 6 of the Hunger Games. I get it. Your concern is duly noted - but I'm not buying it.

Admittedly I am not Trumps biggest fan either, however I do find his willingness to speak his mind without fear of political ramifications quite refreshing. I supported Ted Cruz all throughout the primary, I also liked Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and Scott Walker. I actually preferred all of them to Trump. Throughout the primary debates I was waiting and waiting and waiting for Donald Trump to get specific on policy, and to sound more intelligent, more presidential. For me, that really didn't come. I felt Ted Cruz won most of the debates and got bored of Trump literally saying the same thing over and over every debate, "Listen, we are gonna build a wall, its going to be a big, beautiful wall, and Mexico is going to pay for it, believe me, Mexico will pay", "trade deficits", "china manipulating currency", "We either have a country or we don't", "incompetent trade deals, incompetent leaders" etc.... Yes its all true, but he offered no detailed solution. It got so repetitive... I sincerely hoped that he wouldn't win. I never hated him, I just thought Cruz - or Rubio, Fiorina, Carson, Walker, Paul, or even Bush - was a better option. I don't think he is right on every issue, nor does he represent me on every issue. He is not polished, the most intelligent, or an eloquent speaker.

Having said all of this, at this point I believe Trump is the best available option to try to reverse the course our country is on. Unopposed leftist leadership is the most dangerous domestic force to the traditional American way of life in existence. Democrat leaders' ideology is not the same ideology of the typical democrat voter. At the core of the left's belief is that America is not "exceptional", that it has been a bully to the rest of the world, that as it has risen to power on the backs of slaves, and that we have kept 3rd world countries from being able to succeed. In their own words, they view American Exceptionalism as American "Imperialism". Their desire is to destroy "American Imperialism" and redistribute America's wealth all over the world. Their end goal is the elimination of borders and classes - or in other words globalism. To accomplish this goal, there are two main vehicles they use, racial divide which central to their revolution against "American Imperialism" and climate change (climate change is a topic for another day). Racial divide is the key to breaking down any sense of pride in what our country stands for. It allows proponents of this way of thinking to demonize any opposition to their movement. This is far from a conspiracy theory, this is full blown conspiracy. The evidence of it surrounds us in the form of the "black lives matter" movement, the "new black panthers", Hillary Clinton referring to all of us as "a little racist", and the lefts own published ideology/plans for this country. Below is an excerpt from a document written by Obama's buddy, Bill Ayers, and other revolutionary leftists from the 60s, "You Don't Need A Weatherman To Know Which Way The Wind Blows":

"IV. Black Liberation Means Revolution

What is the relationship of the struggle for black self-determination
to the whole worldwide revolution to defeat US imperialism and
internationalize its resources toward the goal of creating a classless
world - No black self-determination could be won which would not result in a
victory for the international revolution as a whole. The black
proletarian colony, being dispersed as such a large and exploited
section of the work force, is essential to the survival of imperialism.
Thus, even if the black liberation movement chose to try to attain
self-determination in the form of a separate country (a legitimate part
of the right to self-determination), existing side by side with the US,
imperialism could not survive if they won it— and so would never give up
without being defeated. Thus, a revolutionary nationalist movement
could not win without destroying the state power of the imperialists; and it
is for this reason that the black liberation movement, as a
revolutionary nationalist movement for self-determination, is
automatically in and of itself an inseparable part of the whole
revolutionary struggle against US imperialism and for international
socialism."

This is what they believe. This is what they have been slowly implementing into our culture through the media and political system for decades. Now, the every day democrat doesn't know it, but those deeply founded in liberalism do, people like Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton. The scariest part of it all, is that the number one source the American people have traditionally relied on to expose this type of stuff, the media/press, is bought and owned by people who believe in this ideology and they feed it to us through their content every day.

Donald Trump may not be your ideal candidate, but he is the only one with a legitimate shot at stopping this way of thinking from spreading in Washington. Say what you want about him, but he does not support this way of thinking.

On top of all of this, another aspect of this election that makes it unique is the fact that two branches of government are at stake, not only the Executive, but the Judicial as well, which may hold more significance than the presidential election alone. Donald Trump has already put forth a list of names including many conservatives that would follow in the footsteps of Justice Scalia. The current supreme court, even with Scalia, already ruled the purchase of a mandated healthcare system "constitutional" by essentially calling it a tax, and redefined the word marriage which it has no authority to do. Imagine what rulings are coming our way if another liberal judge gets appointed in regards to free speech, religion, and "gun control"- a term which in and of itself contradicts the 2nd amendment.

Now with all this in mind, my "vote you conscience" friends, I ask you, will your conscience be more at ease voting for someone who has next to no chance of winning, washing your hands of this election, pretending because you kept your hands clean of voting for Trump, you carry no guilt? All the while facilitating the election of perhaps the most tainted and corrupt candidate who had ever run or held public office - who will continue relentlessly pushing these radical leftist ideas? Or voting for the only one who has a legitimate chance at stopping it? Before we have any chance of "changing the system" aka a legitimate 3rd party, we have a political ideology and opponent that must be defeated in the realm of ideas. If we can do that, then 3rd party candidates could become a viable option. Until then, their unity on the left will continue to prevail every single time the right becomes divided.
